From friendship to friendshit

Normal. That is what it is. You make friends, and then a few years go by, and the friendship dies. People change, and so does their relations. It makes sense, it really does. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t hurt when it happens.

Sometimes, the reason a friendship dies can be as easy as one simple action. Took years to build a relation, but mere minutes to ruin it. And i think i know why.

You got close. When you talk to them, you’re not wearing your armor. All you. So when the betrayal happens, it is like a molten dagger dripping with poison going straight for your heart. There’s no escaping it. Critical hit, 5/5 times.

It happened to me, and it has probably happened to you too.

But know this, it is entirely normal.

I got to know this guy whilst studying at uni. And we became the best of friends for the years to come. Heck, we even talked about being each other’s best men. Life was good. Until it wasn’t. One bad decision after the other, our friendship took a toll for the worse each time. Reaching the point where we don’t even speak anymore. We can go months without reaching out to one another. We have both “replaced” the other in our lives.

It hurts. Of course it does. But this is the price of friendship. It can often end like this. Not always. But often.
