Date from the valley
So, i have “moved on” - yeah, i know. Still! this week, i went on a date with a new girl, and i had a great time! Turns out she’s from the valley where my family has its roots - which is just amazing! Her dialect very closely resembles mine, although be it a bit different. I truly love that.
So - in Stavanger, there was a food festival going on! I bought us some ice cream to enjoy before we went to the restaurant where i had booked a table for two. What i love mostly about festivals like these, is all the unique stuff. The specialities that you won’t find at your supermarket chain of stores - and that love got fulfilled this time as well!
At the restaurant, we got a table in the upper section of the establishment. This restaurant is quite known for their pasta dishes - so it was a no-brainer to go for those. We kept on chatting close to non-stop for the next two hours… So much so, that our dishes got cold (not freezing - but you get it! No damp, no smoke!) - at least, we didn’t manage to burn ourselves on the food!
We discussed education, travels, family and work. I think we managed to cover most of the “a-b-c” questions.
I’d say that this was a good date. I do struggle with taking the next step, and leaning in for a kiss.
Come on - we ALL think about it - but i am too careful i believe. Because i don’t want to be “THAT GUY”
(that guy being a guy that forces things like this) - The energy has to match 100%. No force.
Soo… after that, we went for a short stroll downtown. She showed me around various streets, as i am still very new to Stavanger city. It was quite cool!
After a total of 3-4 hours, I followed her to her bus stop, we hugged, we said our goodbyes, and thats it.
We sent a few texts afterwards, but not much to be honest. Which I think is a bit “meh”… But oh well.
We’ll see what happens. Hope we’ll go for a second date! Fingers crossed! (But i doubt it?)
