Double turned trouble

So, i’m back with some news on my dating situation. Yesterday, i was invited to a dinner “double-date” type of thing. This was with the same girl that i went to the beach with. Me, another dude, her best friend and herself. We had some pizza, they had some drinks, and we played some card games.

All in all, not too bad of a night. A bit awkward, sure, but not bad at all. However, for the past week or so - me and this date of mine haven’t really spoken. I wouldn’t call it a cold front or anything, but there has been no exchange of lovey-dovey feelings of any kind. I thought she perhaps just had some nerves, or was just extremely shy… But no, no. It was just awkward.

So - this afternoon, i got a text from her, and this is what it read:

”Thank you for being so kind the times we’ve met. I’ve really appreciated that! I’ve been thinking, and i feel like we’re very different, and that we’re not matching. This is not what I’m looking for. Just wanted to be honest with you, instead of giving you the wrong impression. Hope you’ll understand :) ”

Honestly, this is fair. I have no problem with this what so ever. If anything, I do appreciate her for coming clean already. This way, none of us wastes more time trying to feed something that is already dead from the get-go.

People are different. and we express ourselves in different ways.
This time, it didn’t match. And that’s okay.
Moving on!
