Establishing routines
It takes time. Like all other things, creating routines takes time. I’m used to having routines - but when i break them, it quickly spirals out of control. Now, however, i am on my way back. Back to having some routines. These past months have been a lot for me. I have moved across the country, started a brand new job (in a new field for me), and had a ton of stuff to do at uni (yes, even as an online student). I put my routines on halt - I had to, for my sanity’s sake.
But now, oh! I’m sooo back! I am back to reading regularly, which is such a blast. The joy i get from reading books is just great. I take my time, and just chill, whilst also getting entertained. Currently, i am reading fantasy, which is quite a while since i’ve read. I usually stick to crime / cozy novels. So far - so good!
I have also started developing actively again. Although Gitterport, my gaming company, is being closed - i continue to develop. And that is how i’d like it really. No pressure, no “admin” stuff. Just me, me scripting and designs. Truly, it is such a burden about to be lifted from my shoulders. Next time around, i will make sure to partner up when i create a company. It was too much for one person alone. I know some people manage it, but I couldn’t.
I either read or work on my games each day. Some days, i even manage to do both! Mind you, this is after work.
BTW: Work is going great! I feel like i’m home. I feel important, and i enjoy each and every day.
Talk to you soon.
