Wait… A designer? Characters?

Correct! I have recently received some sketches from a designer that i reached out to a few months ago. Life happens, so of course, we’ve both been busy on each our fronts - but now, we’re back! This game project is quite different than the grid-based game i have been telling you about previously. This one, this one is more action than system!

First of all, this title actually has some story incorporated into it. It is, as with most other games and entertainment, a vital part. As most of you know by now, i am more interested in the systems, the logic and the story - than the designs pr. say. And there are reasons for that, one of them being: I can’t - for the life of me - draw. Nope. No can do. I can design UI, products, technical stuff… but things that are supposed to move naturally? things that “live”? No way.

I saw a few pieces this designer did, through a feature of her in a newspaper - and from that point on, i knew!
If I were to do a game where i needed characters, she would be the one to do it. Her style, and artistic vibes in her creations, speaks for themselves.

She sent me a message recently, adding some sketches she had done as well, based on the descriptions i had given through my short stories and informative documents (yeah, it was rough… not much to work with!) - and she created
PURE ART from it!

So, great people - I now have two projects going at the same time. Believe it or not, this is what i like the most.
This way, i will not get tired of any of them, as i can switch between them. Worked for me before, and i believe it will again.
I will develop the grid-based game myself, and this pirate game together with her.
I’m excited! Talk to you soon!

Hi! I like games, and think that they’re the ultimate form of art; combining music, color and story - all in one product.

Trying to create a game development company here - brb!
